Test Tone Generator is a wonderful tool for testing sound systems, create sound effects and so on. The application is very nice and intuitive, but it is not so easy-to-use and requires some previous knowledge. It is very customizable and offers multiple options, for instance, you can change the output device, period, channels, right and left channels, frequency, amplitude, amplitude modulation, among others. The program comes with a few memory presets that include 1khz tone, 20-20k, pink noise, and bass slide. Each of them offers different options that can be customized as you wish. What is more, it includes a synchronization feature that allows you to sync all generators. The output settings can also be adjusted and they include signal data (sampling rate, quantization), buffer settings (buffer size, buffers) and hardware calibration (frequency correction factor). The program also includes a performance test which checks the performance and compatibility of your computer. All in all, Test Tone Generator is a very comprehensive application that certainly deserves a try.
